simple_message

simple_message defines a simple messaging connection and protocol for communicating with an industrial robot controller. Additional handler and manager classes are included for handling connection limited systems. This package is part of the ROS-Industrial program.

simple_message defines a simple messaging connection and protocol for communicating with an industrial robot controller. Additional handler and manager classes are included for handling connection limited systems.

Code API

The main APIs of are largely captured in the following interface classes:

• industrial::simple_message::SimpleMessage : Defines the protocol for messaging between ROS nodes and a robot controller.
• industrial::smpl_msg_connection::SmplMsgConnection : Defines the connection interface for sending simple messages.
• industrial::message_handler::MessageHandler : Defines a callback interface for handling message of a specific type.
• industrial::message_manager::MessageManager : Manages multiple message handlers on a single connection (useful for connection limited systems, such as robot controllers).
