Detailed Description

Write an id string to the requested ftdi device.

This is actually acutely prepared for setting up kobuki. Note that it makes an eeprom.backup binary for you just in case things go wrong - when this happens, simply call:

 $ sudo ./bin/ftdi_write_eeprom -f eeprom.backup

to restore.
