Troubleshooting

If you can not connect to the EtherCAT slave or you see a message like "No slaves found!". Try the following:

• Improve the irq response through the NIC/NAPI/Socket layer (eg. eth0):

  ethtool -C eth0 rx-usecs 0 rx-frames 1 tx-usecs 0 tx-frames 1

• Set manually a IP address to your ethernet adapter (eg. eth0). Sometimes Ubuntu disables the ethernet adapter if no IP address is set.
